Embracing Change - 9-13 August 2024

Change is inevitable, unpredictable, and often out of our control. The enormity and pace of personal and planetary change can leave us feeling helpless and off-balance. How do we adapt to shifting circumstances without losing our footing? Can we face change from a place of resource?

I’ll be supporting my teacher Deborah Lewin at this multi-day workshop at the Universal Hall in Findhorn Eco-Village. Join us for a deep dive into your dance and resource yourself for meeting and moving with the changes of life.

Date: Friday 9th - Tuesday 13th August

Venue: Universal Hall, The Park Eco-Village, Findhorn, Scotland

Cost: £340, from 15 June. £150 deposit secures your place. Subsidised places available.

More information and booking on Deborah’s website here.

Courage - Sunday 6 October 2024

A day-long workshop to express and embody the shape of courage for you. Perhaps with some tenderness, perhaps some  fierceness - how do the many qualities of courage dance in you? Come and explore taking up space, standing your ground, meeting the small and large of life with wholehearted presence.

The day will include guided exploration and invitations - moving solo and in connection - plenty of time to follow your own dance and time to connect and share with words and over lunch together.

Time: 10.30am-4.30pm

Venue: Yama Studios, 7 Milnbank Street, Glasgow G31 7AQ.

Cost: Sliding scale - £45/£55 - please choose what is right for your financial situation. £10 deposit secures your place.

Retreats at Dhanakosa

2025 retreat dates open for booking soon

Dances of the Heart

This retreat takes an embodied approach to the traditional Buddhist practice of the Brahma Viharas – the cultivation of loving kindness, compassion, joyful resonance and equanimity. The invitation is to step into this mandala of the heart - to meet and know these qualities in our bodies and in our dance. We’ll be learning how we can deeply resource ourselves through meditation and movement to embody and cultivate these qualities in our lives. A Going Deeper retreat, suitable for people who have been on retreat before and have a regular meditation practice.

Wild swimming, embodied movement and meditation

This retreat will take a playful approach to reconnecting with the body through the elemental experience of water and weaving the resources of the Open Floor curriculum through meditation and movement. An introductory retreat, open to everyone.

Autumn rain on still waters: contemplating the five skandhas

The five skandhas are a description of human experience often evoked in both early and later Buddhism to point to the nature of reality through reflection. This retreat takes an integrated and holistic approach to this traditional model, through meditation, nature awareness practice and movement, exploring the nature of our bodies, minds and hearts. This is a Triratna regulars retreat, for people currently practicing within the Triratna Buddhist Community.
